Reconstruction works of part of CRH Cement Factory

In order to optimize production, the investor decided to enable clinker transport from the new silo to the higher-capacity Cement Mill 1-FLS. Konstruktor was entrusted with dismantling the existing bucket elevator bridge, as well as designing, fabricating, and installing a transfer tower and a new belt conveyor bridge.

About the project

To achieve the defined operational goals, the investor engaged Konstruktor for the dismantling of the existing bucket elevator bridge and the design, fabrication, and installation of a new steel transfer tower and belt conveyor bridge.

In addition to the steel structure works, Konstruktor was also responsible for the manufacture and installation of part of the complete mechanical equipment.

The transfer tower was built using a 26.4-meter-high steel structure, utilizing approximately 220 tons of steel. Within the tower, clinker is distributed in three directions — toward two mills and a truck loading point.

The belt conveyor bridge consists of three steel segments supported by two pendulum columns and one double-girder steel column, along with a drive station platform. All bridge segments were preassembled in Konstruktor’s workshop, transported as oversized cargo, and precisely mounted using heavy machinery from the Konstruktor Group. The total steel structure, including columns and platform, weighs approximately 80 tons, with a length of about 80 meters and a width of around 4 meters. Access from the tower is enabled via grated treads and ribbed sheet metal on the platform.

Konstruktor successfully completed the entire process of design, fabrication, and assembly of the steel structure, including the installation of production equipment.
