The facility consists of four functional units: administrative building, raw material warehouse, production hall, and finished goods warehouse. The construction was carried out in three phases over a period of two years.
About the project
This was one of the first facilities where the spatial structure system developed by Prof. Srđan Kiš was implemented. By using beams of equal height—both primary and secondary—connected by upper and lower chords, a spatial system of high load-bearing capacity relative to the amount of material used was achieved.
A notable advantage of this system was its compliance with domestic wind load regulations, which enabled effective handling of the buckling of bottom chords in truss girders under wind suction. Additionally, roof and façade sandwich panels were treated according to the Stressed Skin Design concept, following EUROCODE standards, which incorporated the stiffness of the roof and wall cladding into the building’s structural model. This approach greatly simplified and optimized the steel structure.
The application of these two advanced engineering approaches in prefabricated construction helped position Konstruktor as a market leader in structural optimization.
Konstruktor was engaged as the general contractor, under a “turnkey” contract, for the design and execution of all architectural and civil works, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical installations, interior finishing works, and complete landscaping of the complex.
