Grundfos- facility for the installation and recycling of wastewater

Konstruktor was commissioned by the investor Grundfos and successfully completed the construction of a facility for wastewater treatment and recirculation.

About the project

The facility was built within the large Grundfos production complex spanning 29,000 m², which Konstruktor had previously constructed in 2012, under a turnkey contract, as the largest investment in Serbia that year.

The new building is of industrial character, serving both then and now as a wastewater treatment and recirculation plant (WWTP). The facility’s purpose is to treat wastewater originating from sanitary and kitchen sources at the Grundfos Serbia production site, allowing the treated water to be reused within the factory.

The plant is based on the MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) process of activated sludge treatment, combined with UF (Ultrafiltration), RO (Reverse Osmosis), and disinfection processes.

It is equipped with online sensors that monitor water quality in real time, enabling automatic adjustment of the system’s operational parameters.

Konstruktor acted as the general contractor on this project, under a turnkey agreement, responsible for the execution of all architectural and construction works, as well as mechanical (HVAC), hydraulic, and electrical installations.
