Arcelor Mittal
The structure of the ingot casting hall, spanning 24 meters and reaching a height of 23.30 meters, was constructed as an extension of the existing steel mill. Konstruktor was engaged for the execution of this facility, including the fabrication of the main columns, designed as lattice columns with variable cross-sections, and the main roof trusses—self—supporting lattice girders with a span of 25.00 meters.
About the project
The surface area and height of the hall were defined by the technological requirements of the production process. As a result, crane runway beams for a 24-meter span overhead crane with a 70-ton capacity were installed inside the hall. Monorail crane girders were suspended from the rafters, with their top edge positioned at 20 meters. Equipment foundations for the ingot casting plant were also constructed within the hall.
Konstruktor was engaged as the general contractor under a turnkey agreement, responsible for the design and execution of all architectural and structural works, HVAC, hydrotechnical and electrical installations, as well as interior finishing works.
